First audition in NYC

Alrighty.  Quick download b/c I've got to get up to watch small fry in less than five hours.

The company: New York Shakespeare Exchange
My monologue: Rosalind from As You Like It "Why, what means this? ... to Fareyouwell."
What I wore:  green gorgeous shirt I bought in Madison before I left. New skinny jeans. Super classy shoes that Kelsey lent me.  And my hair was invited to be itself and curled magnificently for the occasion.

What happened:
Turned out it was the studio I got my headshots from today! :)  Big open room for waiting. Met some folks.  YAY!
The actual audition space was roughly the size of my room here in Brooklyn (6X10ft-only the glamorous for me). A table.  The Director, Playwright, and Stage Manager.
Did my monologue.  They laughed one time out loud collectively.  All three of them, I think.
Was asked to wait while they decided what to do with me.
Was handed a side from their original play (absolutely HILARIOUS- creatively mocked all things Shakespeare).
Performed the side after about ten minutes chilling with it.  They responded beautifully.  Laughs often.  At least three solid laughs in about a two minute side (cold read, too)! YAY!

And now:
Wait.  Should find out in the next couple of days.  Fingers crossed!!!!
And follow up on the new acquaintances.
Party on!
