Two week annivesary in NYC!

Sorry.  I'm awful at keeping this updated so far.

Where to begin?

I've been here for two weeks and a day.  I was afraid to come here by myself originally, and my Step-Mum kindly volunteered to come along.  We spent an enjoyable weekend negotiating the Subway system, chilling in random coffee shops and Central Park, and seeing Next to Normal (which ROCKED my SOCKS).  Then she took off on Tuesday AM (as per our agreement-I did not scare her away or anything :) ).

My friend from High School helped me find about 23 hours/week taking care of some kids.  Turns out that you can make a living doing childcare.  Awesome!  Perfect "back up" job for me right now.

I've spent a lot of time traveling places for the first time.  I've been up either sides of Central Park, to Brooklyn, and to Queens, and to the Southernmost tip of Manhattan (with Shelley) to see the Statue of Liberty.

Shoot.  I gotta go.  I'm going slack-lining with Elmar today.  It's a beautiful, sunny 65 degree day!

Hopefully I'll get back on here sooner.  I am having lots of adventures already!
